-Plant in well drained soil, they will not survive in soggy soil
-Plant in full sun
-Plant 4" - 6" deep and 2 feet apart for tall varieties and 1 foot apart for medium and dwarf
-Start the tubers indoors for earlier blooms but make sure they get ample warmth
-Deadhead the flowers but leave the foliage to nourish the tuber for next year
-In the fall after the first frost, dig up the tubers, let dry for a few days and store in paper bags or boxes with peat moss
-These have already been started for the summer, they are all 1 - 2 feet tall already.
